SyntaxCMS 1.3 Released

Announcing the release of SyntaxCMS 1.3, a flexible, content-object-based Web content management and application development platform.

Among the key features and improvements:

Developer Tools

Content type element labels can now have descriptions

Infrastructure

PHP 5 and Apache 2.0 Compatibility
Elimination of PHP Notices
Delete uploaded files when a record is deleted

DBasis Interface Improvements
Admin filters and search integrated

Admin Features

Admins can pick among list of templates for Site Sections
Reporting: Content Summary Dashboard
rewritten Site Section management area (3x speed increase of listing)

Congrats, I was waiting for this release for give a look to SyntaxCMS banned,

Conguralations for the 1.3 release. I have found this project from freshmeat. It seems to be promising in a overly crowded CMS arena. I have two questions: 1. will you open community forums? 2. will you setup a demo? I think these are the most important.

We already have a couple of mailing lists running on Tigris, so you're welcome to join those. But forums sound like a good idea, and we may implement that (unfortunately all this stuff has to be done in and around our consulting work). We're planning on changing a number of things, but we're still hashing them out. One I can say with confidence is that we will definitely move to Subversion at some point. Likely we will move the rest to an all-encompassing site, including a demo, and we'll move faster if there is outside developer interest.

But that's still up in the air--for now, try the mailing lists.

Sandy, you made my dream come true. I was waiting long for this update. I am using this new version very successfully since last few months. I liked the newly added features especially the PHP 5 compatibilty and the reporting features. Thanks...

I cudl access the CVS repository! It says access desied when using teh guest access.
